Juventus’ 1-1 draw with Melbourne Victory featured a wonder goal from 20-year-old Carlos Blanco.
The Spanish defender took down a clearance of his chest, assessed his options, before deciding on a shot.
The Beckham-esque effort from just past the half-way line was driven flat and successfully lobbed goalkeeper Lawrence Thomas.
The remarkable effort was the defender’s first ever senior goal. Not a bad way to get yourself off the mark…

The Spaniard had this to say after full-time: “I’m delighted with the goal I scored for the first team. I saw the ‘keeper off his line, tried my luck and it went in.”
Unfortunately for Blanco, his goal was not enough to lead his side to victory as Melbourne equalised seven minutes from time and Juventus went on to lose 4-3 on penalties.
